Assesses and evaluates new-borns with potential risks, offering early intervention for developmental delays. This unit screens around 500 new-borns annually. Since its inception in 2005, RBU has screened nearly 9,500 new-borns, identifying developmental delays at an early stage. In 2023-24, 526 babies were screened at four hospitals, with early interventions provided when needed. The unit is managed by a Developmental Therapist.
