Joicy Shiju , a child aged 4 years started walking independently by end November. The child  started attending Adarsh special school in July 2006 at that time, i.e. at the age of 1 1/2 years, she could not stand, creep or even crawl. The first few steps taken by Joicy were very special steps, not only for her future development, (though she  is too young to  realize it now), and for her mother but all of us at Adarsh , specially the trainers mainly Physiotherapists, Occupational therapist, special educators etc. who attended to  her training in these 3years. We all hope she will develop more to become still more independent in her future life.
